BBCC Dining is committed to doing our part to lower the impact of the BBCC campus on the environment and improve efforts for a sustainable campus.

Trayless

BBCC is a trayless campus. Diners without trays waste less food while also making healthier eating choices. Often times, our eyes are bigger than our stomach, and trayless dining reduces our ability to take more than we can eat. It also reduces the amount of water and detergent needed to wash trays, and saves energy in the process!

Recycling

BBCC Dining recycles cardboard, glass, aluminum, paper, and plastic.

Composting

Food waste in landfills creates methane, a greenhouse gas that is 21 times more potent than CO2. Our first priority is reducing food waste. What waste we do produce, we compost to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and amend soil, increasing drought tolerance and improving soil health to reduce the need for water and fertilizer.

Xprss Nap

Xpressnap Dispensers save energy and waste. The napkins are made of 100% recycled paper and the dispenser encourages customers to take and waste fewer napkins.
